About The Scrapstore Birmingham
The Scrapstore Birmingham is part of Birmingham PlayCare Network. We are a third sector organisation passionate about promoting both the importance of play and high quality play opportunities for children and young people.
The Scrapstore Birmingham collects and sorts materials, or ‘scrap’, donated by individuals or businesses for redistribution to individuals and organisations supporting play and creativity.
The store officially opened its doors in October 2011. Birmingham PlayCare Network’s (BPCN) scrapstore supports the reuse of unwanted materials that have been donated from across Birmingham.
We collect and sort waste/surplus materials which would often be diverted to landfill and redistribute it to out of school providers, schools, community groups and individuals.
Please Note: We update entries as often as we are able, but from time to time information may change without our knowledge.
