About Birmingham Food Council
We currently have six activity strands: Nutrition & public health; Food poverty & food insecurity; Food safety & integrity; Urban food growing; Food & the city economy and Global food security.
If you click on one of these headings on our home page, you’ll find relevant blog posts, and other useful information. The latter includes a link to a growing list of our own reports and other papers.
Our work under these activity strands is to meet the four main priorities in the Birmingham Food Charter:
- Our children: We aim for all our children to enjoy tasty, healthy meals . . . and eat them in good company.
- The fitness, health and happiness of all citizens.
- Food and the city economy.
- Global food security.
Our Annual Reports and accounts are published here.
Please Note: We update entries as often as we are able, but from time to time information may change without our knowledge.
If you find errors in the description or links above, please let us know.
