About Aston and Nechells Foodbank
Our foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local areas of Aston, Nechells and Washwood Heath in Birmingham. We opened in November 2011 and since then have given out in excess of 82 tonnes of food, all of it donated to us.
We are an entirely voluntary run foodbank having over 100 regular volunteers working in our three distribution centres, our warehouse, and helping with local and national supermarket collections. In 2015 – 2016 we helped 3,066 people including 1,191 children under the age of 16.
Please Note: We update entries as often as we are able, but from time to time information may change without our knowledge.
