6Towns is regulated under The Financial Services Act 2012 which divides the responsibilities of the FSA between two new bodies:
- Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) – The FCA regulates the financial services industry in the UK.
- Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) – a body of the Bank of England. The PRA takes responsibility for prudential regulation of deposit-takers (including credit unions), insurers and large investment banks. It is concerned principally with financial stability.
